2011 has arrived and hopefully with the new year comes renewed hope and positive news about the US economy. I think it is safe to say a majority of us would like 2011 to be a lot better than 2010 was, and so far all signs are pointing in that direction. Numbers just released this week show that in the month of December private payrolls soared while downsizing decreased across the nation. Almost 300,000 payrolls were added to the private job sector last month; far exceeding the optimistic projections of 100,000 by many economists. With job growth comes a renewed sense of confidence in the overall economy. The official government jobs report does not come out until this Friday, but after this weeks early news on the job market most economists expect the numbers to only confirm what was learned this week; the job market is growing again!
